The server is currently in the process of going through a renewal process (such as customizing our modpack). It is felt that as we move away from being a pure Tekkit server and because "SG" is often misconstrued as the type of server we are, a change may be in order.
As part of this process Ken has opened the door to begin server renewal by selecting a new server name for ourselves.
Who
We seek submissions from any of our citizens who wish to unleash their creative imaginations. This competition is not really suitable for group entries, but if you wish to pre-designate who in a group will receive the prize and include this info in your entry you may do so. This also goes for gifting it to a friend.
What
As the first of several planned competitions, we invite our citizens to suggest the following elements to help better represent us:
Short version: They aren't disabled, there's a glitch in the recipe. If you need to make an AEE, craft two of the lapotrons that don't work and ask a mod to exchange them for the right version. Explanation below the image.
Note how it says "Lapotron Crystal 30240"? It means SPECIFICALLY 30240 (with a damage value of 0) and not 30240:28 or 30240:13, etc. It USED to accept any damage value, but I guess the recipe changed slightly with our current version. This is why you're currently unable to craft adjustable electric engines. They are not disabled, it's just a glitch.
To alleviate that, I have supplied the mods with the right kind of lapotron that will work in the recipe if you need to make adjustable electric engines. Just make two lapotrons the normal way and ask a mod to swap them out for you. Be careful not to charge them, though, since they'll start behaving like normal lapotrons once you put any EU into them!
As of now, the Carpentry Bench from the NPC mod is hereby banned until futher notice.
The other moderators and I will be collecting the benches, if I find one after the date of this post, you will be hunted down with a poison saturated, electrically charged lead rusty spork.
We advertise ourselfs as the Ultimate PvE modpack, and we'll be damned if we don't give you exactly that!
From this point forward, we are adding micro-transactions to our server, further expanding the awesome SGTekkit experience!
How, you ask?
Well, after asking our users, we've come to the conclusion that everyone really, really hates crafting.
So, we are disabling crafting in it's entirety and we'll shortly be replacing it with the fully automated, pay-per-item in-game SG-BlockShop(tm)
Instead of crafting, simply type e.g /blockshop Pickaxe-diamond and a diamond pickaxe will be automatically added to your inventory after the payment has been charged to the credit card associated with your SGTekkit account.
And while we realize that some of our users are under the age of 18 and therefore not eligible for a credit...
