As we start the grow we need to start to iron out bugs that are not in Minecraft. Today we did just that. We noticed a lot of lag on our web server that got even me annoyed. So, we migrated to a new Linux based solution and everything is transferred and back online. Some images may be corrupt from the non-case sensitive Windows to now the case sensitive Linux. I have personally seen a HUGE difference between surfing and posting.
Next up is Solder. Solder is Technic's API to mod-packs. How does this help you? Simple. When we release an update now, you no longer have to download 70Megs of nothing and 2Megs of actual changes. Solder takes only the changes and makes you only download them! We can now release updates more frequently without having to overload our mod-pack server!
We understand that Technic.net is down so you cannot download the update. If you want to direct download you can at http://sgtekkit.net/client/SGTekkit_v105.zip once you have that, overwrite your %APPDATA%/.technic/sg folder with these files. Make sure you delete your mods/coremods folder BEFORE you extract. Once Technic comes back up, you will be able to download the update as normal.
I am pleased to announce that you hungry little Minecraftians have prompted for me to expand the map to +/- 1250 from +/- 1024. This is roughly a 50% increase in the total space (and a much larger increase if you don't take into account the veteran area). Get to building roads, Romans!
To help build our community, we need to get your support. If you can spend 30 seconds and head over to Technic Pack.Net's new website. Create an account then simply +1 our two mod packs which you are currently using, it would help us a ton.
