There has been some ambiguity on this, so let me state this now. Galgadorian drills are not allowed in the overworld. In fact, please don't use massive automated systems for depleting the overworld in general. Likewise, please do not be greedy when it comes to claiming things like oil. If you are not going to actually use something, please don't just claim and hoard it. This is doubly true if you're scooping up resources places not near your own base in the overworld. Be respective of other current and future players.
"Don't be a dick."
I have an exciting update for you guys today. We are now using Technic's new launcher to connect get our mods. With this new update, I can change mod packs on the fly and get you all updated without you doing ANYTHING. Great right? We have updated a lot of mods for this first release but even more are coming soon!
Today, my friends, marks my 22 consecutive year of being alive!
Normally, I would be the one to recieve gifts, but I find that rather dull and too cliche.
So to mix it up a bit, I've decided to make like a Hobbit and give something to you guys instead.
In the form of a contest.
Whats this contest about, you ask?
When I joined the server as a lowly newbie back in march 2012, I was fascinated by the amounts of machinery people were able to setup and run properly, and my mind was blown by the sheer amount of perfection everyone put into it.
Now, after becoming an admin and getting access to the teleport command and the vanish command, I feel that I have seen pretty much everything Tekkit has to offer.
Which bugs the hell out of me, since there are figurativly a bazillion ways to set up a machine.
So, in hopes of changing this, I am holding this contest.
Here is what I want you to do:
Create a machine setup that does something creative/bizarre.
Attention, citizens of Earth. To help protect against rapid overworld ore depletion, we will no longer be allowing people to run frame-mounted IC2 miners in the overworld. You have four days to shut down any existing setups. This move will ensure that newbies digging in otherwise unclaimed area have a fair shot of actually finding materials to work with in the future. Thank you for your understanding. We now resume your regularly scheduled propaganda broadcast.
