What is Continuous Exchange? CE is a public mall where players can lease space to sell your goods in one easily accessible location just outside the spawn-protected area. The mall itself consists of a two floor design with ease of access in mind. (However, Steve is not crippled so there are no elevators.) Continuous Exchange can be found at the end of "blue" road that begins at spawn. The front door is at -207,+14. A slightly out of date view of the main area: http://i.imgur.com/JEZq3.jpg There are threefour sizes of venues available: Micro, Cart, Standard and Grand Venues.Walls of both standard and grand plots are two thick, allowing you to safely place and lock your signs on the walls without interference of your neighbors. Micro Plots (Single Shop): http://i.imgur.com/TdQHx.jpg Cart Plots (On the basalt rectangle): http://i.imgur.com/qWgCh.jpg Standard Plots: http://i.imgur.com/yRtT3.jpg Grand Plots: http://i.imgur.com/FV7Vt.jpg Pricing All available venues have an initial cost and a weekly cost. The initial price is to ensure that only those who are willing to put some effort into their shop invest the money in the storefront. The upkeep give me a reason to evict inactive players and reclaim unused storefronts, ensuring stores remain active and fresh. Costs are calculated by floor space. Micro Venues (1x1x2): A single chest shop with no decorations but an excellent location out in front of the mall. These venues cost 100 credits up front and 100 credits a week. However, there is a limit of one per customer. Cart Venues (3x4x4): A modest plot for someone only wishing to sell a few items, carts are on the first floor in a prominant location. There are five cart spaces total. Cart venues cost 2000 credits to claim and 200 credits a week for upkeep. Standard Venues (8x16x6): A standard storefront for someone who has a lot of items to sell, standard venues are arranged along the second floor. The walls are two blocks thick to prevent protection sign conflicts and you are allowed to request external windows (this costs nothing extra, but I wish make the hole myself) and alter the interior glass panels along the storefront. There are 18 standard venues available. Standard venues cost 10000 credits to claim and 400 credits a week as upkeep. Grand Venues (16x16x8): A large, spacious store space on the ground floor, Grand Venues are perhaps best claimed by an entire town that wishes to collectively sell their goods.Enterprising individuals are not dissuaded from claiming one of these for their own, however. There are 10 grand venues total. Grand venues cost 20000 credits to claim and 750 credits a week as upkeep. Rules You are required to maintain a decently attractive appearance. I am not overly picky. The rooms as they are set up by default are sufficient, if slightly boring. You must keep your store properly lit. Damage caused by improperly lit stores is the burden of said store. Payment of rent is due each Monday. Initial weeks will be charged in partial. Being more than a week beyond in rent is grounds for eviction. Window installations are available, without cost, on request. However I wish to put them in for you myself. You are allowed to alter the marble cover walls, but only to replace it with a solid block (or another kind of cover). You bought an 8x16 plot or 16x16 plot, not a 10x17 or 18x17 plot. No tearing out the walls to get more space for chests. You ARE allowed to alter the inside glass covers in your storefront windows. I reserve the right to say 'yes' or 'no' to anything. Your initial payment is not a deposit and you do not get it back. Alternatively, it IS a deposit. But you're still not getting it back. Art imitates life. Airships are not allowed in the CE airspace. Any vessels found in my airspace will be treated as griefing, or donations of materials depending on the severity of the violation. All damage caused by creepers are the responsibility of the one aggro'd. You WILL be reported. You may pay for your plot in advance for multiple weeks, however you should you become inactive for a period of time where mods would give away your land to new players (over two weeks inactive) I reserve the right to reassign your space to a more active store. Keep your stores stocked on a regular basis. If your store remains out of stock constantly, either up your price and make more profit or increase your supply. However, if it is clear you're neglecting your shop, I may evict you. Your hired help is responsible for knowing these rules as well. Ensure that anyone (especially names I have on your lease) using your shop has also read these rules. Applying For A Plot: Please apply for a plot in this thread using the following format: IGN: Requested Plot Size: Alternatives: Have You Read Terms Of Service: Making ChestShops Remember, making ChestShops requires filling in three lines of your sign like this: (Leave Blank) Quantity Price Format Item ID For your price format, the format has two parts parts, either of which are optional (but you must have one of them). The two separate sections have a B and an S respectively, with a number. Each section is separated by a : (colon) symbol. The B price is how much they will buy the item for. Likewise, the S price is how much they will sell the item back to you for. A few examples: B 500 B 700 : S 500 250 S B 100 : 90 S For the Item ID, vanilla items can be names, but for MOD items, it will be a format of something akin X250:12, where 250 is the item ID and the 12 is the data value. And remember to /lock your chests! Terminations of Lease You have one week from the time rent is due on Monday. A sign will be placed some time after Monday Night letting you know your rent is due. I may be a bit slow to remove signs when payment is received. You MUST MAKE SURE that you have my attention while I am online to see your payment. I also accept screenshots as proof of payment if you can't catch me online. Just upload it to imgur and link it to me in a private message on the board. Failure to pay for a full week (ending on the Monday when you would owe me again) without extenuating circumstances (just message me on the board) will lead to eviction. I follow the same policies as a towny eviction. That is, I will attempt to return the materials of your store. However, if you do not return the wall pieces you removed when you decorated the store, I may lose a few of your items as compensation. If you are permanently banned (appeal is denied), I will terminate your lease immediately. Replacement is on a first post, first serve basis. Leases with multiple names attached (that is, you can name 'helpers' who can also build in your store) will be the responsibility of any name I am aware of. Several current leases are in multiple people's names. Such leases will continue for as long as any of those players continue to pay me. Additionally, you can give me names to add or remove from your lease at any time, with their consent. They will share responsibility for payment, but they can also cover for you if you stop playing for a couple weeks. If you no longer wish to renew your lease, you may name an inheritor. This person will get all the stuff in your store and the shops in the store will be relocked in their name. They will not need to pay the initial cost of the store again, only the upkeep cost. They also have the opportunity to refuse the store. Some people are crazy and hate leasing my premium air. If you wish to completely terminate your lease, you are responsible for returning your shop front to its original state. Anything left behind will be treated as abandoned and claimed by me. And yes, you CAN pay in advance, which makes it easier for all of us since I have to nag you less.
