So, there's an undercover mod somewhere on the server..? OMG, Big Brother is watching (even more than usualy), etc.
For the next time... Try to hide the secret mods name from the staff channel or prevent 'viewing participant' access to the normal people in whole. Just a hint, and I won't tell... because I never took the time to cross-ref the users in there with known mods and such. I saw that the whole team including the new mods were in the channel with a few without the [staff] prefix and privileges
Dont forget we have mods on our other server that access that same channel. You sure it wasn't one of them?
Like I said... I never took the time to sort it out. With the reason that it would defeat the purpose of having a secret mod. Every staff member was there including sct and I assumed that the new mods were being instructed and had to lay of a pledge. An inauguration of some sorts. When the new mods were wearing the [staff] prefix and saw a few participant of the channel without them it triggered the 'who is the mole'-itch. Sure it nagged me, who doesn't want to uncover a 'big' secret when a huge hint is in front of everybody on ts3 and the site. But I decided I shouldn't because of the reason I stated above. EDIT: Small addition: I am posting this now and not back then to prevent the 'who-is-the-mole'-reaction from the community and let you be until you were done.
Surely, this can't be that serious? Right? Don't think that this secret mod thing is worth that much text. Its not like its national defense stuff.. common.. BTW if they really really wanted to keep it a secret they would never have mentioned it in the initial post. Your playing MC on a server with 80 people that can set up nuke reactors. I think they would have the "who is the secret mod" mystery cracked in about.. ohhh.. lets just say it wouldnt be to much of a hassle. Have a great weekend!
Lets just say that I want to prevent the thousands of pm's heading my way with the question "who is it?!" because between the first post and second post I already got one and wanted to prevent the others of flooding in. And sure I can be a bit elaborate when it comes to these 'kind' of topics. But realize this for a moment: you spend text on trying to say I am silly to write text about such a thing... Aren't you a bit silly too? :P Indeed they could... But they didn't, and I am sure they want to keep it as long as possible. Yes! I am being silly by typing a response to you. Thats precisely why I did it. I love Irony. People have a tendancy to give themselves away. Nobody likes to keep secrets and that is apperant if you look closely to the responses of this thread you may see just who the "Secret Mod" is. I for one, like the idea of a secret mod. I love the fact that I have to fear every chicken I see. BTW you secret mod.. whoever you may be. I scrutinize heavily the movement patterns of chickens. I make it my past-time to observe any abnormal behaviours of such water-foul. Your clever disguises will not work on the likes of me. If you choose to use your invisible disquise, please be aware that I make it a point to go AFK for 30 mins for every 2.5 mins of play time. So you will be bored to tears standing there watching me do nothing. I will not be made an easy target for the ban machine.. and speaking of ban machines can you make sure thier timers are set to longer then 1 second? So many bans its lagging the server. No seriously, you MODS are doing a great job. Keep up the good work and grats to the new MODS. Remember you are now at the forefront of protecting me from myself. Thats a full time job I assure you.
